Often times, insomnia is a result of an overactive body, mind or both. If you have not utilised the energy from the food throughout the day either by exercising or physically engaging activities, there will be restlessness. Similarly stress and worry, even at an unconscious layer, will keep your mind awake. The best remedy for this is 10-15minutes of meditation. Download any meditation app or learn a breathing exercise and practise before going to sleep.

Ensure you aren’t using your phone before bed as the light from the phone prevents the release of melatonin.

Acne

Acne on the skin is another condition that a lot of people look into natural home remedies to solve. Some people have a skin disorder which may cause the acne to break out more than it normally would. This is something that can be hard to manage, and quite devastating to those individuals who have tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing has actually worked. Honey and buttermilk mixed together and then heated provides a paste to slab onto the acne once it has cooled a bit. You can then rinse it off after 15-20 minutes. Not only does it help the acne, but it also provides smooth, silky skin to the person. Another great natural home remedy paste that is said to work is grinding up oatmeal into a powder mixture, and then adding water. It provides a thick paste that can be rubbed on, left for 15 minutes, and removed with a warm washcloth and lukewarm water. Sliced cucumbers and the cucumber juice can revitalize skin, but also get rid of acne. This is a cheap way to remove unwanted acne and gives your face a fresh revitalizing feeling.

Lastly, if you have cystic acne or inflamed acne, there is nothing more effective than Alum powder (potassium aluminum sulphate). Simply mix this powder with a few drops of water create a paste and apply to the affected areas. If you leave this overnight or even a few hours, inflammation, redness and pain reduce significantly.

There are many other things that can be treated by using natural home remedies such as chronic side effects and pain caused by diseases and conditions that cannot be cured.
